Terms and Conditions

If you book but cannot make the class, please cancel your booking and let us know. As spaces are limited, this will allow us to offer your place to somebody else.

The Pole Vault will not tolerate any form of abuse towards instructors, other class members or staff/users of the buildings we are hiring. This includes but is not limited to: racial, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, fatphobic, and body shaming. Please treat everybody with respect. We want The Pole Vault to be a safe place for all users, and any behaviour we consider inappropriate could result in you being asked to leave. If this happens, you will not be given a refund and further participation in other classes will be carefully considered.

We spot our students, which means making physical contact. We will always tell you where we're going to hold you, and ask your permission before making contact. The only time we won't ask, is if we fear for your safety and have to make an emergency spot to prevent any accidents. If you're uncomfortable with physical contact, please let us know and we will provide you with a crash mat instead. Don't be afraid to ask for a spot - pole and aerial are scary, and it's our job to keep you safe.

If you are pregnant, you must not take part unless authorised to do so by your GP. Even then, you participate at your own risk. The Pole Vault will not be held responsible for any injuries should you choose to pole while pregnant.

Do not wear any jewellery, especially rings, as they not only scratch the poles, but can result in injury. Piercings however, are acceptable, but you wear them at your own risk. You may need to wear a covering over a fresh piercing or tattoo to protect it.

Do not use lotion before class as this will make it harder to grip the pole.

The Pole Vault reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone believed to be drunk or under the influence of drugs, or if we believe they may pose a threat to anyone in the class. In this event, a refund will not be given.

You MUST adhere to the health and safety rules. The Pole Vault will not be held responsible if you injure yourself after failing to listen to instructions. Crash mats are available, but if you choose not to use one, or choose not to wait until one of the instructors can spot you, then you do so at your own risk.

Do not use the poles until the instructors have given you permission, as this could result in injury.

As we allow all ages to participate, if there are under 16s in the class, then please make sure your behaviour and dress is appropriate.
